Subject Areas



From Year R up to Year 2, we teach Phonics in small groups on a daily basis.
Pupils in Year 2, who have passed the external Phonics Test, move onto the school Spelling Scheme - No Nonsense Spelling.

Science, Foundation Subjects and RE

Science and most foundation Subjects are often taught within a creative Topic especially within Key Stage 1. In Key Stage 2, topics are often led by a single subject.
Religious Education is taught as a separate subject. MFL is taught as a single subject within Key Stage 2.
