Flakefleet Primary School is celebrating after being rewarded for its commitment to increasing competitive sports opportunities for pupils at the school, through The School Games.

The school will recieve a sporting prize to support their school competition.

The School Games, which is supported by National Lottery funding from Sport England, and delivered by the Youth Sport Trust, provide a unique opportunity to motivate and inspire millions of young people across the country by encouraging them to take part in competitive school sport.

The Games are made up of four levels of activity : competition in schoos, between schools, at county/area level and a national event for the most talented school age athletes.

To share good practice within the school network, schols are encouraged to blog about their competitive school sport activities. How these activities have impacted young pupils is important so that other schools, parents and the wider community can see first-hand what is on offer for their pupils.
